Hp Pavilion a6785L Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200+Hp w2228h (monitor)
or this:
Our first choice is the desktop computer. I love its large screen...My hubby also was enticed with its fabulous specifications. When we called my father we mentioned about purchasing a desktop computer. He's asking us "Why desktop?" Well, I listed some advantages of desktop computer:
1) A desktop is more easy to upgrade. There's more space for new PCI cards and IDE disks.
2.) The desktop computer has bigger monitors. I can have a 22" monitor with my desktop.
3.) A desktop computer tends to be cheaper than a laptop computer of similar specification
4.) Faulty accesories and components on a desktop are easy to replace.
5.)The desktop computer has more comfortable keyboards with it.
6.) Less appealing to a thief!
7.) Desktop computers have more transistors = more heat = faster performance.
After the casual talk we had with our father and with the assurance that Hp Pavilion is OK, we couldn't help looking on the better sides of having a laptop instead of desktop. Laptops are excellents choice for "browsing on the move" kind of person. Their biggest advantage over desktop, I think, is its portability and its mobility factor. Nowadays, things are even getting better with laptops. I read that battery capable of running for 8hrs could soon be in the market, Core Duo and Core 2 Duo and similar porcessors from AMD are already finding their ways into new ranges of laptop, and wireless networking is becoming the standard so laptops are becoming more popular than ever before. Laptops have been outselling desktops over the last 2-3 years as performace gap between closes up to insignifance.
When we went back to the computer center to pass my required documents, I saw the candy pink Toshiba lappy. My hubby knew that it's my favorite color. He told me "Why not change our order to Portege M800-E3315P?". I told him that the price on display is way above our budget. The saleslady told us that they had promotion on this item. We got interested and browsed the brochure. Lo and behold, they cut the price to almost 8,000 baht!
We told the manager of First Choice that we wanted to change our order to Toshiba Laptop. I make sure if it's okay and she said it's OK. I passed all the needed documents and she told me to wait for their call in the afternoon. The whole afternoon passed without any news from them....Oh what a test of patience in waiting!
In the evening, I asked my hubby why he insisted that I'll get the "Pink" Toshiba lappy. It's so girly and not suitable for him if he'll be the one to use. He told me that he wanted it FOR me and a sort of his birthday present for me (which is still a month away). Oh dear, you're such a sweetie pie!
This afternoon, we received a text message from First Choice that informed us that our application is approved and we need to visit the center to get our item. The result: I didn't get my pink lappy. Because of language barrier, they're not able to explain to me properly that once you made an order, you couldn't change it. It's a lesson learned for a newbie "convenient purchaser". Anyway, I'm not disappointed with the result. We got our HP Pavilion PC! I thank you Lord for this blessing....I'm definitely online!
I like the desktop sweetie.
