Thankful Thursday # 6- WE ARE FREE!

When I'm still in grade school, I practiced guitar with this song:

I am free, I am free, I am free to be a servant of the Lord.
I am free, I am free, I am free to be a servant of the Lord.
He taught me how to praise Him, He taught me how to sing His song,
He taught me how to love. I am free to be a servant of the Lord.

I love this song because it's a confession of my true freedom in His name...He's the one who freed me from ungrateful attitude and turned it into a grateful heart-grateful even for basics and things considered to be "little". He's the one who makes me smile even in trying moments. I have the freedom to sing praises to Him in times of abundance and even in times of needs. Most of all, He taught me how to love-love the unlovable and the enemies...It's hard on my own but by His grace, I'll be able to extend forgiveness and love unconditionally.

For this week, nothing could keep me from thanking Him in everything that He did to me and to my loveones.

1. I thank the Lord for baby Hyzyd. He's now teething and we're able to cope with his needs. We thank the Lord for healing him from his runny/stuffy nose.

2. I thank the Lord for the wisdom in preparing my lessons, activities, worksheets and flashcards. These are all needed in our English Summer Class. I also thank God for having Lovie-my co-teacher, who lend a hand in these preparation.

3. I thank the Lord for His overflowing love in me that because of it I'll be able to love my kindergarten students as if they're my own.

4. I thank the Lord for bestowing upon me His wisdom in balancing my time as a wife, a mother, a friend, a teacher and as His daughter.

5. I continually thank the Lord for being with my family back home in the Philippines. They're all well and fine in His hands.

  2. Maybe Hyzyd's stuffy nose was brought on by his teething. It's exciting to see your baby's first tooth come out - certainly something to be thankful for :)

  5. Great post. I hadn't heard that song before. I like what you said about being free from an ungrateful attitude. So many of us are bound by our attitudes ...

God bless you and your family.
