Mommy Moments- Hyzyd's First Haircut

mommy moments

It's Hyzyd's first nanny, a Thai grandma who insisted us to cut Hyzyd's hair before he barely reached his 3 months . Her reasons, it causes Hyzyd's rashes (?) and so that Hyzyd will feel fresh. His curly, thick hair contributes to his "sweaty" condition.

This is Hyzyd before his haircut...His hair is not that "thick" as what Grandma Paa described.

The daddy as the skilled barber cut Hyzyd's hair while he's sleeping....

and VOILA!...here's our li'l boy with his new hair!

He's feeling refreshed indeed!

at seven months, he still have his hairstyle which he got from his first haircut...I wonder why it didn't grow thicker?....

  1. Ang galing naman ; ) Kami we had to wait until Joaqui's 1st birthday before he had a haircut, yun kasi ang pamahiin. Anyway, mine's up at http://jengspeaks.blogspot.com/2009/05/mommy-moments-haircut.html

  2. Wow! That was new. Ah maybe I am just too old fashioned. I heard about not giving a child a haircut until they are 1.

  7. Hyzyd's so cute, especially in the last photo. Like his dad, I also tried cutting my son's hair several times in the past until I accidentally clipped part of his ear. I never touched his hair again since then. Question: Are you still experiencing any problem with my site?

  8. Its nice that elders in Thailand does not have that "pamahiin" that babies should be given their haircut only when they are already a year old.

    Here's my haircut story;

  10. I have to agree w/ the nanny. Long hair for kids can cause really itchy rashes. The baby looks so fresh after. Cuddly though, haircut or no haircut. :D
