Mommy Moments-Sleeping Time

mommy moments

Our baby Hyzyd sleep a lot during his first week — typically 14 to 18 hours a day. I constantly asked my mother if I should wake him up because I want to feed him. I'm worried that he'll be hungry. My parents told me it's normal for newborn. On the following weeks, he's asleep most of the day, and awake most of the night. That's the start of sleepless nights. It's my job to respond to my newborn's cues, so I'm up several times during the night to change, feed, and comfort him.

When he's 2 months old, he sleeps at 12-1:00 AM! I Thank God that my hubby is there to help me. We tried swaddling him and he started to sleep at 9:00 pm and sleeps through the night. He's usually up at 3:30 for his milk.

Now that he's 4 months, we give him a chance to fall asleep on his own. We put him down when he's sleepy but still awake at 7:00 pm. My hubby is against rocking or nursing Hyzyd to sleep. He adapted well this sleeping habit. Not everyone agrees with this strategy, however. Some parents choose to rock or nurse their babies to sleep because they believe it's normal and natural, because they enjoy it and their baby is thriving and sleeping well, or simply because nothing else seems to work

( this is what I believed before).
